To change the default URL which everyone knows, install this awesome plugin, i.e., WPS Hide Login. After installing the plugin, go to WordPress Settings and then General section there choose a phrase that must be hard enough to guess as for your login URL. You can see in the screenshot below.
Thus by installing this plugin, you will be able to stop any malicious, malware and hacker’s attacks.
After changing your default WordPress Admin login URL it’s time to add another security layer to your site.
To do the security measure, Login LockDown is a WordPress free plugin that blocks hackers for the set amount of time after failing to log in for the set numbers of attempts.
After installing this great plugin, go to Settings and then Login LockDown. There you have to set the number of attempts to log in and the amount of time to block a person and reattempt for logging in.

This way hackers cannot be able to attempt for logging in continuously. They have to wait for the set amount of time.
3. Use Strong Username and Password:
It is important that you must stay away from usernames like admin or Admin and easy to guess passwords.
Through brute force attack, hackers try many usernames and passwords combination through automated tools. This way they break your security breach, enter your site and do whatever damage they want.
